The starting point for the 2010 artist’s participation in the global residency program is Koganecho area management center in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Until 2018, he returned to Koganecho to do the residency program, in between, he also had many visits. After the AIR, 2010, he would do field research before he worked, in that time, because of the language communication, he only carried out field research on Koganecho area. The second Koganecho’s AIR, the survey was extended to the Yokohama Port area and the relationship between hydrological and human history was linked through cooperation with two other experts, then it has opened up the historical scene and the scene of land change that even the local people have forgotten, and through the presentation of multiple artistic forms, so different perspectives to re-understand the land.
2010年是藝術家參與全球駐村計畫的起點,該次的的駐村單位是日本神奈川縣橫濱市的黃金町區域管理中心,自此之後到2018年他再次回到黃金町駐村之間亦多次拜訪,可以說是跟黃金町一同成長,建立起深厚的情誼,2010年的駐村開啟了他往後在創作作品的前期會先進行田野調查的習慣,在那次的駐村中因為語言溝通的關係,藝術家本人只針對黃金町區域(從日之出町站到黃金町站之間)進行田野調查,在第二次駐村時則將調查擴大到整個橫濱港區,並且透過與另外兩位專家的合作(藝術家山田哲平與海洋研究學者林子皓)將水文地理與人文歷史之間的關係串聯起來,打開了連當地人都遺忘的歷史場景與土地變遷的景象,藉由多元的藝術形式呈現讓民眾有不同的視角來重新認識這塊豐饒之地。
